Frequently Asked Questions
Why Us?
-
No. Many clients come to Recover Lab because they want to stay ahead of pain and stiffness rather than wait for a problem to develop.
We work with people who want to improve mobility, recover from training, manage everyday aches, support healthy aging, or simply build a more consistent recovery routine. You can benefit from Recover Lab whether you are recovering from an injury or feeling great and want to stay that way.
-
Recover Lab intentionally sits between traditional healthcare, fitness, and wellness. We offer clinical services such as Physical Therapy as well as non-medical recovery and wellness services.
The environment is designed to be welcoming and restorative, but our approach is more function and evidence-focused than a traditional spa. You can come for a specific problem, for performance recovery, or simply as part of taking better care of your body.
-
Recover Lab combines the clinical perspective of physical therapy and orthopedic movement science with the accessibility of a modern wellness and recovery studio.
Instead of treating every service as a stand-alone modality, we look at your goals and help match the right combination of movement, hands-on care, and recovery technology to your needs. Our focus is proactive, personalized, and grounded in function to help you move better and preserve your ability to stay active over time.
-
At Recover Lab, stretching is a part of what we do but not the whole picture. We believe that starting with an assessment and taking a a multimodal approach under a medical director provides more comprehensive results for our clients.
Sessions
-
Frequency depends on your goals and the services you use however most clients benefit from 1-2 sessions a week.
Consistency generally matters more than a single session. After learning more about your goals, our team can recommend a schedule that is realistic and useful rather than simply encouraging more visits.
-
You don’t need to figure that out, we’ll do that for you. During your free assessment, tell us what you are trying to accomplish: less pain, better mobility, faster recovery, improved performance, better relaxation, or a more proactive longevity routine.
In many cases, the best plan combines active services such as assisted stretching, mobility work, or Physical Therapy with passive recovery options such as Red Light Therapy, infrared sauna, PEMF, or cold exposure.
-
Most Recover Lab services are well tolerated by everyone, but not every modality is appropriate for every person.
Certain medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent surgery, implanted devices, circulatory issues, or acute injuries may change which services are appropriate.
Before using a new modality, let our team know about relevant health conditions or recent medical procedures. When needed, we may recommend medical clearance or a Physical Therapy assessment before proceeding.
-
Often, yes - and thoughtful combinations can be one of the advantages of Recover Lab.
For example, a client might pair mobility or assisted stretching with Red Light Therapy, infrared sauna, PEMF, or another recovery service.
The ideal sequence depends on your goals, your health history, and whether you are preparing for activity or recovering afterward. Our team can help you build a session that is purposeful rather than simply stacking modalities.
Getting Started
-
Your first assessment is free and designed to understand what you want to improve and how your body is currently moving.
Depending on the reason for your visit, we may discuss your health and activity history, current pain or limitations, training or lifestyle demands, mobility, posture, balance, flexibility, and movement quality.
From there, we can recommend the services or recovery strategies that make the most sense for you. A formal Physical Therapy evaluation is a separate clinical service when medically appropriate.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Athletic wear is ideal, especially if your visit includes a mobility assessment, assisted stretching, Physical Therapy, or another hands-on service.
If you plan to use the cold plunge, bring or wear appropriate swimwear; shorts and a sports bra or swimsuit work well.
Grip socks are required at all times throughout the studio, so bring them if you have them.
