1:1 Recovery Sessions
Stop working around the pain and start working on it.
Hands-on work with a Recovery Specialist: assisted mobility, stretching, soft tissue, cupping, and scraping.
I was in a lot of pain when I came to Recover Lab but I left feeling so much better. As always, the staff was respectful, upbeat, and comforting.
- Gail E.
WHAT WE DO
What most people call tightness, we view as a loss of basic mobility that can be restored with help. This isn’t 15 minutes with a PT or a quick post workout stretch, it’s personalized recovery work. Every session is designed around what your body needs - not a generic routine or protocol, and definitely not the same sequence everyone else got.
During a session, your Recovery Specialist moves your body through ranges of motion that are difficult to achieve on your own. Assisted stretching is part of it, but the hands-on work does more than stretching alone can do. When needed, your Recovery Specialist works with the soft tissue using cupping and scraping to increase mobility and blood flow.
-
Assisted mobility and stretching is designed to help you move more freely, reduce stiffness, and improve the way your body feels in everyday life.
Rather than simply “stretching tight muscles,” we focus on restoring useful range of motion and improving how your joints and muscles work together. The result is movement that feels easier, more comfortable, and more confident.
-
Targeted soft tissue work and cupping are used to address areas of muscle tension, soreness, and restricted movement.
These techniques can help improve local circulation, reduce the feeling of tightness, and create a window for better, more comfortable movement. Our Recovery Specialists apply these treatments strategically based on your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
-
This modality uses specialized tools to apply targeted pressure to muscles, tendons, and surrounding tissues that may feel restricted or sensitive. Commonly known as “scraping,” this technique is used to help improve tissue mobility, decrease stiffness, and support more comfortable movement.
We pair it with movement and mobility work whenever appropriate so the goal is not just temporary relief, but better function.
OUR BRAND PROMISE
We won't tell you one session solves everything or that this is just your age. We believe recovery work rewards showing up. The results that last belong to the people who keep coming back, investing in their body’s longevity. While that is not a flashy sales campaign, it is a far more dependable one that we proudly stand behind.
WHAT THIS ISN’T
Not a massage: There's overlap in the soft-tissue work but the goal of recovery work is how you move, not how you relax.
Not physical therapy: If you need clinical care, we offer physical therapy with our OmniWave Recovery Programs.
You don’t have to be injured to come to Recover Lab.
Some clients arrive a week out of surgery. Some have been managing the same knee pain for fifteen years. Others just want their body to feel and perform better than it did last year.

FAQs
-
We start each session but talking to you. We want to know what hurts, what you've been avoiding, what you did this week. If you've had the free movement assessment, your Recovery Specialist already everything they need to know.
Then we get started with the hands-on work. You're on a treatment table, fully clothed, while your Recovery Specialist moves your hips, shoulders, spine, ankles through ranges you can't get to yourself.
When needed, we add cupping or scraping. Our members are able to add on OmniWave treatments for a discounted rate.
-
Assisted stretching is a big part of 1:1 Recovery Sessions, it just isn't the whole thing.
Soft-tissue work, cupping, and scraping are also part of your session when your body needs them, which is why we call it a Recovery Session (not a stretch). You get the stretching, plus everything stretching alone doesn't reach.
-
A massage is generally working on how you feel. This is working on how you move. While there is overlap in the hands-on soft-tissue work, a 1:1 Recovery Session is aimed at a specific mobility or pain problem. It's built off an assessment rather than a preference.
-
No. Physical Therapy at Recover Lab is delivered by our physical therapist, who is also our medical director. It's a separate service with its own treatment plan.
If your assessment shows something that needs clinical care, we'll tell you and route you there rather than working around it.
-
No. Single sessions are available for $59 for 25-minute sessions and $109 for 50-minute sessions.
The membership exists because it costs less for people coming about once a week and because we see the most results for regular maintenance.
